Are you supposed to to unplug your adapter/charger from the socket after each use or leave it in the socket?

Leave the adapter in the socket. (You save your battery.)

Which socket? The one on the device or the AC mains?

* A:
Leave it on the socket and it therefore doesn't last very long

* A:
It doesn't matter.
